Youth Hostel Mysore is reputed for being a safe and secure place for all hostellers particularly women. This reputation of the Hostel has been painstakingly earned over decades of effort by imposition of strict discipline and code of conduct. The attitude, conduct, discipline and adherence to rules and regulations of all hostellers who have made use of this facility, has contributed to this achievement.
Many school and college student groups, avail this facility and go completely satisfied. It has been seen occasionally, that student groups in adolescent age group, tend to violate rules and code of conduct, disregarding the right of other inmates to enjoy quite stay, in the hostel and disturb the serenity. HENCE RESPONSIBLE PERSONS WILL HAVE TO ACCOMPANY THE STUDENT GROUPS WHO SEEK ACCOMMODATION IN YOUTH HOSTEL MYSORE.
For the modest tariff, our Hostel provides the following facilities:

- Separate Men and Women's Dormitories in Quiet Residential Area
- Common Room with Television and Newspapers
- Vegetarian South Indian meals may be available to groups. Firm orders will be accepted only on physical checking in and with prior intimation by 4.30 P.M. for dinner and breakfast, the following morning. Tea, Breakfast and Lunch/Dinner will cost Rs 13/-, Rs 60/- (including tea) and Rs 100/- respectively (subject to revision). The cost of tea, breakfast and dinner consumed will be billed accordingly.

- Alcohol, Drugs, Narcotics, Firearm or Gambling in the Hostel Premises.
- Animals and Pets.
- People affiliated to political and religious groups will not be accommodated in Youth Hostel Mysore.
- Government servants on duty and locals will not be accommodated.
- Entry to Bedrooms, Showers and Toilets set aside for use by the Ladies.
- Persons with Communicable or Infectious Diseases.
- Offensive behavior which may Lead to Expulsion from the Hostel.
- Absence during night without permission.

THE CHECK IN, CHECK OUT TIME HAS BEEN FIXED CONSIDERING THE ADMINISTRATIVE CONVENIENCE OF THE HOSTEL. THE HOSTELLERS WHO HAVE ALREADY CHECKED IN HAVE THE RIGHT FOR ACCOMMODATION AND OTHER FACILITIES TILL 10.00 A.M.
THEREFORE, THE HOSTEL IS NOT IN A POSITION TO PROVIDE ANY KIND OF ASSISTANCE IN TERMS OF TOILETS ETC,. FOR THE INTERIM PERIOD FOR THE GROUPS OR INDIVIDUALS WHO ARRIVE BEFORE 10.00 A.M. HENCE, THE GROUPS AND INDIVIDUALS ARE REQUESTED NOT TO ARRIVE AT THE HOSTEL BEFORE 10.00 A.M. THE TRAVEL PLANS MUST BE MADE ACCORDINGLY.
IF ANY GROUP WISHES TO CHECK IN BEFORE 10.00 A.M., THE GROUP WILL HAVE TO BOOK, THEIR ACCOMMODATION FROM 10.00 A.M. OF THE PREVIOUS DAY AND WILL BE CHARGED FOR ONE ADDITIONAL DAY. SIMILARLY IT IS APPLICABLE FOR LATE CHECKING OUT.

GATE CLOSING TIME
- Gate Closing Time 10.00 P.M. and Opening Time 06.00 A.M.
AFTER THE GATES ARE CLOSED AT 10:00 P.M. THE HOSTELLERS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO GO OUT.
LIGHTS OFF TIME
- 11 P.M.
THE LIGHTS OF TIME MEANS THAT FROM THAT TIME ONWARDS THE HOSTELLERS ARE EXPECTED TO SLEEP AND NOT CAUSE DISTURBANCE TO OTHERS BY WAY OF LOUD CONVERSATIONS AND MOVING IN THE CORRIDORS. OTHER HOSTELLERS HAVE A RIGHT TO UNDISTURBED SLEEP.
IF ANY HOSTELLER IS REQUIRED TO STUDY, THE HOSTEL AUTHORITIES MAY CONTACTED WELL IN ADVANCE SO THAT NECESSARY ASSISTANCE CAN BE PROVIDED, IF POSSIBLE.

- 11 A.M. to 5 P.M. (INMATES ARE NOT EXPECTED TO STAY INSIDE THE DORMITORIES DURING THIS TIME)
